Music video: Namie Amuro - Fast car

I do get tired of saying it, but I feel it has to be said with regularity. Namie is a straight up MILF. Father time is clearly her BFF, because Namie looks better now than she ever did before.

"Fast car"'s video got old really quickly, and lacked any real punch or energy. But Namie looked stunning and she was workin' the dance steps. Age, being a game veteran and having come fresh off of her never ending Best fiction tour have all come together to give her moves a real sense of snap. Her dance moves used to be pretty lose and lack charisma. But here, she was locking steps down with precision and rocking the Namie trademarked stiletto boot heels rather nicely as she was did so.

It was revealed during the time when the SNSD-bots "Tell me your wish (Genie)" was owning Korean charts that the co-writers of the song (Dsign music) had worked on a song for Namie Amuro's November release. "Fast car" is that song. Not as hot and as catchy as "Tell me your wish (Genie)" by a long shot. But an alright song.

I do think it's a shame that "My love" and "Copy that" weren't given the go ahead as a double A-side. Both songs are pretty damn (and here's a word I rarely use...) fantastic, and would have made great singles. They have that hot Namie sound that fans love, but with new twists that keep her and her sound fresh. It's a bit of a kick in the teeth that they also both featured in commercials that had concepts that would have made great full length music videos.
