New music: KAT-TUN - Love yourself ~Kimi ga kirai na kimi ga suki~ / The D-motion
KAT-TUN's singles are more often that not, crap. When you're as popular as these guys are quality matters not. Because anything that gets released is going straight in at number 1 and selling out everywhere. When I heard "The D-motion" in a TV commercial, I thought "Wow! These guys may actually have a single in the works that I'll like". Having heard the song in full, my arse got punk'd. Just more rubbish.

"Love yourself ~Kimi ga kirai na kimi ga suki~" starts off with some cheesy intro. But the bounce on the chorus is real nice. That is if you can appreciate through the mess that are KAT-TUN's vocals. I don't know who is responsible for producing and arranging their vocals, but they either need to be sacked or schooled. Every time they sing they sound strained and anything but smooth. The vocals on the chorus to this song are horrible. They made me ears bleed.

"The D-motion" has such a hot beat on it. I love it because it sounds a lot like Madonna's "Causing a commotion" which is one of my fave songs of hers. But the vocals are a mess. There is so much auto-tune and pitch correction that the vocals are indistinguishable on the verses. A complete waste of a hot beat. The song sucks. And there isn't even an instrumental of it for me to enjoy, just to make matters worse.

Both songs are they're infected by KAT-TUN. The music on both songs are decent. But KAT-TUN's horridly ragged and badly arranged vocals kill both songs dead.
