New music: Keri Hilson - Pretty girl rock

Keri Hilson - Pretty girl rock | New music
With "Breaking point" set to be as much of a hit for Keri as "Energy", her people have quickly pushed out the Ne-Yo penned and Chuck Harmony produced "Pretty girl rock". I liked "Breaking point". But that was NOT lead single material. This on the other hand...

This is a much more radio friendly song than "Breaking point". Whoever thought that shit was lead single material should be beaten with a Gucci slipper.

Keri holds her own and comes through nicely on this. You can still hear the influence of Ne-Yo, but it's nowhere near as bad as it could have been. Because as we know, Ne-Yo often smothers his lips over every song he writes and co-produces. And as a result, ladies end up sounding like they're mimicking Ne-Yo as opposed to just trying to sing a song. So kudos for Keri for managing to side step that landmine and walk away with a song that still has Keri sound like Keri.
