Music video: Britney Spears - Till the world ends

Music video: Britney Spears - Till the world ends | Random J Pop

Pre-children, Britney was always the star and main attraction of her music videos. But now? She's just like a prop. Britney is dead.

Britney looks really nice in this music video. She was working that red catsuit with the magical corset which re-appears and disappears in-between shots (bitch probably kept moaning she couldn't dance in it). But she is completely dead in the eyes, spaced out and moves like she just cannot be bothered to live her life. Even her ratty weave thrases look lifeless. If you gonna trash a weave, THRASH IT BITCH!!!

When I think about how Britney delivered in that "I'm a slave 4 U" music video (which this is easily comparable to), I just shake my head. I am disappoint. She was wearing a great deal more than she was in this music video, yet sold the sex completely through her physicality. She got down, dirty, greazy and was not afraid to exert her sexuality and really get amongst the thick of the action. Where-as here, everything seemed very controlled around her - much like her life. The dancers were all up on one another acting post apocalyptic skanks; whilst Britney was just sectioned off and given 50 feet like she wasn't really a part of what was going on around her. And every one of her interactions with the male dancers just felt by numbers. There was nothing there.

As with "Hold it against me", from a cinematographic stand point, the video looks great. But what difference does it make if the star of the video is not able to shine and be a strong defining factor of it? And as with "Hold it against me", Britney displays symptoms of aquaphobia. Sprinklers go off and everybody gets soaked, but Britney doesn't.

As has become the norm in Korea, a second of edit of this video is set to drop showing the dance sequences in their entirety. I do not know why Ray Kay is even bothering with this mess.

  2. Horrible video all they did was make they chest spazz out, no real dancing and the whole premise was stupid. Good looking people having a party in the sewers in 2012. Shitney is dead and gone and the video just further highlighted it.

  4. WOW she looked SO FUCKIN HOT, when i saw her in that catsuit i was like am i gonna go straight? it was a close call but sorry ladies lol
Seriously though this wasn't as phoned in as the HIAM video, this so shoulda been the lead single.
This was a lot better than the "HIAM" video in terms of Britney IMHO.

P.S i saw "Battle Los Angeles" today and this totally reminded me of it with all the falling rocks n stuff haha.

  5. I'm sorry, I'm fine with your critique of the video (I really liked it, but I'm a stan, so whatever), but please stop using the phrase "dead in the eyes." Mostly for two reasons, one of which is debatable: she most certainly does not look dead in the eyes (I know my Brit, but like I said, this is debatable), and the phrase is SOOO fucking overused. Every time I see it, I want to stab my eyes out. Use some other term like cold, distant, empty, emotionless, or something different. I just feel like saying somebody looks "dead in the eyes" is a bit dramatic and just plain strange.

  6. Well at least there was a bit more movement. Is it me or do all these songs sound basically the same, lol.

  7. You know, Sylfi, this is J's blog and I'm pretty sure he can use that phrase if he pleases. It's not his fault that she looks, well, dead in the eyes. At least she looked damn fine. I don't usually have anything nice to say about Britney Spears but I can say that.

And Beruda, during her GMA "performance" my mom was in the other room and said "all these songs sounds the same".

  9. LMAO I always love hearing what my mom has to say about mainstream music. Mostly because she come from a generation where the music didn't suck and everything didn't sound the same. Oh and her opinions are brutal, yet hilarious.
