Listen to... Kelly Clarkson - Heartbeat song

Kelly Clarkson - Heartbeat song | Random J Pop

Kelly Clarkson is back, bringing in the new year with a brand new single and an album to follow.

"Heartbeat song" is in the vein of Kelly's most notable hits "Since U been gone" and "My life would suck without you", and if that doesn't scream 'chart success', it also sounds like something from Taylor Swift's 1989. So "Heartbeat song" it will have no problems securing the 32 year old Texan another hit.

With some of pop's vocally challenged women having had their moments in 2014, it's great to have Kelly delivering a solid pop record with a great vocal, and she's barely giving anything on this song.

Kelly's sixth studio album (excluding her Christmas release Wrapped in redPiece by piece is slated to release in March. Kelly has also confirmed that she will be touring in the Summer in support of the album, so be on the look out for dates and locations to see if she'll be playing at a venue near you.

I've never been a Kelly Clarkson fan per se, but have always listened to her albums and found myself falling for at least one song from each of them. My last Kelly Clarkson addiction was "Darkside". A great song which ranks as one of Kelly's best in my books.

  1. That cover actually looks good. Thank god it looks nothing like her ugly mug.

Even if she is copying off of Utada.

  2. All I can hope for is that that picture of her up above is current, because she needs to get over that "Comfy being me" crap and lose all that comfy weight. Her image has a big part in her lacko of exposure and notoriety. Ain't no one checking for her like they were.

She better get right while she still can be pretty and not wait around and be another Kirsty Ally.

    Mmmmmkay.

  8. CDL this year slayed! The set list was amazing 😆 Hope the tour is as amazing since it's a continuation of the "Cirque de minute" theme.

  9. Copying Utada by... Releasing an album? Being a woman? Breathing?

  10. Animated Cover. Utada JUST had one. Even though they only used it as a promo cover for that Cover Album.

  11. Luke. Go take a nap in a mud puddle face down. Thx.

  12. lol Ayu's A Classical was already a drawn cover just like this one and so was my story classical a while back. She's doing that for all her classical albums

  13. lol yes you're just a butthurt ayu hater that can't handle that utada hasn't released anything in a while so you're being annoying everywhere stanning her. she would be ashamed to have fans like you

  14. lol yes as if ayu would need to copy anyone especially the person that chose her to be on her tribute album and slayed her cover hahaha

  15. Utada didn't CHOOSE anybody lol. Misinformed twit.

ayumi has been copying Namie for how long now? Remain silent. It's rhetorical. She needs to and continues to copy any and everybody lol.

She just copied Utada's song for Pete's sake and isn't it a shame the most praise she's gotten in a long time is for somebody else's music? Utada's. Bahahahahhaa.

    lol no.

  16. The setlist and the performances of CDL 14-15 were quite amusing and successful, and now here's another (A) Classical album.

By the way, J, you mention of a classical live concert... doesn't "Power of Music 2011" count?

  17. I loved "Tough Love", but You and I Forever is probably my least favorite song on the album. I can see why she would want to release it as a single as a way of celebrating her husband and marriage, but there are much better songs on the album that deserve the single treatment: For example, Cruel, Sweetest Song, Champagne Kisses. Do you plan on reviewing Tough Love? It was definitely one of my album highlights for 2014, which was an otherwise shitastic year for music.

  18. I think I've seen her commenting on Crystal's Instagram back when she released Rule Your World. I think they both work with producers that are on the same camp. I think this is the sound Crystal was going for when she released Rule Your World, but Ginette definitely has Crystal beat with Jump. Jump kind of reeks of Jhene Aiko, but without the paper thin vocals, flat notes, and talk singing.

  19. I'm going to disagree with her needing to lose weight, the consistency of her vocal delivery seems to be correlated with her weight lol. Her vocals were always weaker when she was thinner.

  20. I checked in just to see what you said about GrnGrn. Too bad about the lack of concept, could just be that it's been an exhaustingly busy year for hte staff. Gaah if only Display was on YouTube.

  21. Hmm she's always sounded the same to me except she was putting out better songs when she first came out and looked good.

I recall none of her fat songs. Just the visual of her swinging on a swingset and wearing a lot of black to camouflage the fat.

  22. Ayu > namie >>>>>>>>> utada sorry not sorry

    ReplyDelete
  23. lol you're so delusional I feel sorry for your ears bye hater

  24. Maybe after you answer the question.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Wow... This isn't even animated, It's drawn... And Ayu did it with "A classical" which was out before Utada's cover album...

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm weak, On what planet are Ayu and Namie similar?! 😂😅😂
Is your plan to just pic any successful Japanese female and claim Ayu copied them despite the complete lack of similarity and evidence to the contrary?

    ReplyDelete
  27. lol really? I'd say Ayu and Utada are equal levels of amazing at the different things they do. It's like comparing Madonna and Bjork, Both are amazing in different spheres.
Namie on the other hand... Doesn't write, Is shit live, Looks like she's stuck in thigh high hell... "Past<future" was amazing but that's her only flawless album.

    ReplyDelete
  28. When is the next single / album dropping?! This is the first time in two years I haven't had a "Perfume" album for Christmas 😒

    ReplyDelete
  29. IMO Utada is endlessly overrated and I know that I'm not the only person with that opinion her music just bores me idk I heard her enough in my life my ex was obsessed with her and I always had to listen to it so I know that it's not just one song she just doesn't appeal to me at all but hey each their own... Also I think ayu is a step ahead in the sense of what shows she delivers I doubt utada ever did anything more than standing on stage or walking around

    ReplyDelete
  30. I agree she should lose weight (for health) but if she's comfy let her be.
"No one is checking for her like they were"?! Her CHRISTMAS album has gone platinum not long ago lol her album before that was platinum.

  31. Namie went Engrish EDM, so did ayumeh hamasucky. Many examples to site this. Common knowledge.

Listen to more music than just this goat's in order to not be this ignorant again. K? lol sad.

  32. Yeah, but your still comparing oranges to apples because Utada was and always wanted to be designated as a singer-songwriter rather than an omnipotent idol clenching to whatever fashion, commercial tie-ins or multiple versions of the same damn single/album/concert performance, etc. that is so typical of the entire J-pop scene. No, she may not be able to dance and takes longer to release new material, but I'll take her vocal pyrotechnics, introspective lyrics and much more memorable music compositions over Ayu and Namie any day of the week, or Koda's for that matter (despite all three of them having albums that I majorly rigged at 1 time or another). Whatever the final sales tally or rankings of beauty or other shallow resume aunts, Utada is an irrefutable music legend already in every sense of the word, Ayu is just second best all-around and has been for at least a decade or more. Namie is as well in her own way for longevity anyways despite not writing or composing any of her own shit and Koda is just what everybody listens to when the others haven't put something better out, PERIOD! At least Utada ALWAYS comes up with something original and totally herself simultaneously despite the sales or critical reaction to it. And it'll be more of the same once she comes back...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah and sorry but you obviously didn't see her "Hikaru No. 5" or "Bohemian Summer" Tours, which took a s*** on pretty much any of the deep fried wigs, Lady GaGa costumes or excessive stage effects Koda and Ayu have done 3 or 4 dozen times since. I can't even appreciate live performance aesthetics when the voices and frankly the quality of the music is just non-existent. I would actually love to see Namie Amuro live 1 day (hopefully after Hikki) despite her having sub-par vocals, but she a kicks dancer and is making far superior albums and singles to those other two basic J-Pop hoes for quite some time now, right around the time of "Queen of Hip Pop" era on!

  34. Okay, speaking of people repeating lies and rumors, NOBODY in Utada's management, let alone Utada Hikaru herself "picked" these artists to cover her songs on that lame-as-hell tribute CD that was certified petrified wood for sales (something Ayu has been flailing around with as a perpetual label since free-falling with (Miss)Understood; her voice and sound hasn't recovered worth cow patties since). From everything that's actually been published to the public about it, it was more or less the same situation with Def Jam/Island releasing of Utada: The Best back in 2010 without her previous knowledge just to cash out of a contract with her for whatever dumb as doorknob reason (i.e. they didn't give her the promotion she needed for both her English language albums). Ayu slaying a a cover of a classic hit by a vastly superior vocalist (utada) and songwriter that can make hurricanes around her output quality does not make her Taylor Swift, Beyonce,Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, or any other Western equivalent female flavor of the moment. Remember her "COLORS" album and the name of the 2 (or was to 3? 4?) total singles lifted from earlier last year? Neither do we or anybody else in Japan for that matter, Yes Ayu's still a pop star and still is #1 in terms of cumulative sales or whatever but is a has been and is only getting worse with every successive release. Apparently her most rabid Asian stan bases seem to agree as well or they'd give enough of a crap to buy 2 or 3 copies to keep her charting os somebody's Oricon chart:D...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Stupid and tasteless, YES to both! Where was Utada on HMV Japan's Top 100 Japanese Pop Artists of All Time? #24 ahead of the other two struggling rivals at #42 and #53 despite having released only three albums at the time? To say nothing of her being #10 on HMV Japan's Greatest Japanese Singers Ever? Ayu and Namie got the boot to the butt on the latter list, precisely because they sound like ferrets on helium on at least half their music no matter what the standalone quality of the latter is...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Talking to a mirror does not make your stanning for a no-talent (vocally) has-been any truer or more appealing. Bye again and do please return when those 1st week sales for this nonsense is posted to the Oricon Wall-of-Shame/Lame, which J should totally start up as a regular posting series!

  37. gee do you have nothing better to do than writing a fucking novel about a woman that I don't give a shit about? This is also a reason her annoying fans like you get out. This is also a Reason why None of these 4 (Ayu, Utada, Namie, Koda) are any of my fave artists (even though I do like Koda and Ayu) I'm rather into people with a peaceful fandom that don't have to constantly rub in some other person's face why someone is better than some other artist through some sort of irrelevant rankings or own opinions that they, for some reason think, is worth more than other people's opinions because it is not! It's so annoying how fans of these 4 people have to constantly do that! And I really should have stopped writing after saying that ayu doesn't need to copy anyone and not go further into beef because this is exactly what happens! Such. A. Nuistance. These. Fans.

  38. Yet, here you are responding to them jackass! Also too, saying how much wonderful Ayu is a d how the others are overrated, blah, blah, blah. As all our LGBTQ readers like to say around here, "Girl, BYE!." Please stop coming here and defending utter nonsense you know isn't compatible with reality not the preferences of the majority here. Ayu WAS a great artist and is now a has-been in every sense of the word; Ranking or all-time records is all she has left and there are at least two dozen, if not, more J-pop females that can outdo her 8 ways frm Sunday in voice, music AND lools. Not that the last matters in the big scheme of things but whatever bro...

  39. Cool that she released her 3rd classical album. I haven't heard any classical album from Ayumi, so maybe I'll give this one a try. But I'm more excited about her new album. The album cover looks very pretty. Aki Miyajima did a great job painting the cover.
