Twice return for some Japanese wigs with "Fake and true"

Twice return for some Japanese wigs with "Fake and true" | Random J Pop

Because Korean agencies don't play with their releases, Twice dropped a new Japanese single a couple of days ago and have a new album dropping in November. None of that six-singles-over-the- course-of-a-year-then-an-album type shit. South Korea ain't got time. BAM! Here's the single and the full music video, with the album release date in the About copy on YouTube.

JYP has changed his tune and his methods, because this is a far cry from the treatment that Wonder Girls got. Y'all remember when he had them promote "Nobody" all the way into the afterlife and then made fans wait forever for an album?

Twice will never know 'bout that life.

I thought K-Pop groups were done with Tropical House, but I guess not.

"Fake and true" is a decent song, but the production carries it more than the girls do. They don't so much sing the song as they do recite the lyrics over the beat, which is the wrong energy for this song. It needed more sensuality and smoother vocals. And I think "Fake & true" would have worked far better in Korean too. I'm no Japanese speaker, but something about it on this song just felt off. The same way that Girls' generation's Japanese songs feel off.

I'mma cross my fingers for an instrumental or a Korean version to drop.

Twice's second Japanese studio album &Twice is released on November 20th.
