Music video: Brandy - Right here (Departed)

The video is rubbish. Sure, it matches the song, but it is so boring to watch. I think a song like this should've had a music video with more impact and gravitas. I think a cool idea would've been to have had the world in some apocalyptic disaster and then have Brandy appear at key moments to sing to a person who is either in danger or isolated.

For example: A subway gets bombed. As the explosion goes off, bullet time kicks in, with Brandy appearing and singing to somebody in the carriage. Then everything goes into real time and the carriage is a wreck and then Brandy reappears to sing to the person from before, trapped in the wrecked carriage for re-assurance.

Or a child is playing basketball on a court and a drive by takes place. As the bullets fly, bullet time kicks in and Brandy sings to the mother of the child across the road from the basketball court. Then everything goes into real time and the child is shot, but still breathing and Brandy sings to them for re-assurance as they both cry.

Cheesy I know, but I think "Right here (Departed)" can be taken on such a deep level that a video that matches real world situations, mixed with cutting edge cinematography and cool special effects would've resonated better than some bullshit video that looks like it was filmed in an empty McDonalds drive thru and a Wal-Mart car park.
