Brotha darkness talks up Lady Gaga's upcoming album

Brotha Darkness (aka Akon) spoke to Vibe magazine about his retirement fund otherwise known as Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga has made no secret that she's been recording her new album, but Akon adds fuel to the fire by giving his 2 cents on the situation and what he's heard so far.

She records while she's on the road. Gaga's just like me. She has a tour bus with a studio in it. Some of the songs I’ve heard are going to be crazy. She’s getting bigger and better.

All I'm doing at the end of the day is listening to the tracks Gaga has written and approving them for her album. She has producers that she works with outside of myself and they are coming up with some incredible records. But the beauty of it is she knows exactly what she wants. So it just makes it easier for me.

I'm not excited about a new Lady Gaga album because at the moment I feel like I'm hearing her music everywhere to the point I'm close to getting sick of it. She's claimed the new album is going to be amazing, and there's no reason for me to not give it a chance. But I just have this feeling it's going to be the same ol', same ol'. Lady Gaga has made herself templates with her music (along with RedOne), and it's already beginning to get old with people. So she definitely needs to switch things up for her next album. Give us a typical Gaga song by all means, but try to deviate and change the record. Because a whole album of her typical RedOne joints with some "Speechless" sounding shit thrown in mid way through won't cut it. At least not for me.
