Music video: Namie Amuro featuring After school - Make it happen

Yet another dry video. Did Namie twist her ankle or something? Because I did not see the bitch get up off of that char for the whole 3 and a half minutes. After school tried their best to work some leg, some sexy choreography, and a couple of the girls even tried to pussy grind in their boxes out of shot. But it did nothing to raise the mediocrity of this music video. Namie may as well have had Avex release an animated GIF image of her album cover. Because that's pretty much what this video was.

Did the song remind anybody else of the SNSD-bots? SM entertainment would have made those bitches dance in about 3 different outfits and not sit down for a second if they were given this song and video treatment.

  1. this is cute! a little wierd with namie coming out the chair once to do a litle ball change and all, but those after school girls are on it!!! they always knock that good ol' choreography out the park and make me watch the video like 8 times to see it again.

  2. Namie Amuro is a dancer. Her dancing is a big part of her artistic persona. So why is she not dancing here when the song's a dance song? Even when she does dance in her videos she has as much energy as BoA singing in Japanese. I don't get it...

When the day comes that Namie releases a new, hot dance video I will rejoice. Pussy popping and weave thrashing a bonus but not a necessity, so long as she's not looking bored in a chair.

  4. Maybe because After School are huge in comparison to Namie since she is only 5'1.

  5. Because when you're the HBIC, you don't need to get your ass up off the chair!! lol As always, she looked hot to death, but barely moved. I don't get why namie seems to be lacking so much energy as of late. I was watching shine more the other day, and I thought to myself namie neeeds to bring her choreogrpahy back to 2003. She was p*ssy poppin, droping it low, and swaggin like she actually gave a f*ck. At least the song is hot.

  8. Why are Korean girl groups so fucking overrated.

Seriously. A lot of them are pretty ugly/average looking and talent wise, again pretty average/ugly.

Japanese girl groups are not better.

Ugh in fact I haven't seen any good girl group from anywhere for a long while.

  9. The song has grown on me (still not as good as "Wonder Woman" though) but this video is dusty as hell, I like the concept and set but it needed some propper dance in there to make it less boring i mean if Namie wanted to sit in a chair for the whole thing they coulda put her in a wheelchair and let After School push her around or something :P She does look hot though but After School look like they're wearing some reject hen night costumes.

@Anonymous, There are some amazing Korean girl groups (E.G 2NE1, FX, Brown Eyed Girls etc) but i agree that in General they're overhyped.

  10. The only girl group I've liked recently was the Pussycat Dolls but they broke p, and it was more like "Nicole Scherzinger + back up dancers." LOL.

Talk to me when Destiny Child, Spice Girls, TLC or happens again, hmmk. Actually Asia has yet to produce a girl group I've been impressed with.

Don't get me wrong, I'm Asian. However there is hope because there is an ongoing project called "The Lotus Project" where girls from India, Philippines, Japan, etc. form one girl group trained by a top British/American company...

  11. More on Project Lotus.

They've selected the girls, they are in training. They can sing and dance better than most Asian girl groups out there...

  12. Lotus project seems like a gimmick, i heard of them before but while they may end up being great it's still basically a ploy to get the group popular in all Asian countrys.
2NE1 are amazing nobody got swagger like them (especially CL) and Brown eyed girls are great too, there does seem to be a lack of Girl bands around the world (besides Korea) though.

  13. Why is no one mentioning how fierce Kahi is? She puts CL to shame.

  14. @Ming who is Kahi? she better not be a member of after school coz none of them girls is fit to wipe the dirt offa CL's swagtastic boots. lol

  15. You see her as the member of After School, I will always see her as one of the ladies from S.Blush and former dance teacher to Son Dambi.

And eh, CL is overrated (I'm really sorry, but she is.)

  16. "if Namie wanted to sit in a chair for the whole thing they coulda put her in a wheelchair and let After School push her around or something"

Ahahaha. Whew, sorry, but imagining this had me laughing out loud.

I'm not impressed by any girl groups anywhere at the moment, really. BEG has "Abracadabra" and 2NE1 has "Fire", and I go crazy on the stage every time they come on in the club, but that's about it.

My days of girl group obsession are well over: Spice Girls, then Destiny's Child (and TLC on the side). But I'd be excited to see a good new, all-singing all-dancing girl group with *consistently* good songs, no matter where they come from.
