Perfume switch labels. Drop "Spring of life" in a TV commercial. Announce global domination.

Hold onto your wigs and your auto tune.exe files, Perfume are switching music labels. I can't say I saw this one coming given how well JPN performed. But Universal seems to be the new hot spot.

Not long after announcing the move, Perfume's management and Universal music unveiled a new website and also plans for their JPN album to be released in 50 countries via iTunes, which confirms reports which surfaced last year of the groups' plans to try and do the worldwide thing. These bitches can't speak English for shit, but they come correct with the singles which could definitely tap into a western market where pop music is over-glossed, lyrics barely mean anything even when you can understand them and vocals are irrelevant. Perfume's image has been so pin point for the whole of their JPN era and they are so typically Japanese in their overall style that this may be the hook which has them garner a sizable following outside of Japan. It's worked on me from lil' ol' London. I say power to 'em! Now's as good a time as any for bitches with no vocal talent to make it. It's all that dominates the charts these days.

In case any of you were in any doubt that Perfume would not be able to keep it moving, these auto-tuned hoes already have a new single on the way titled "Spring of life", which features in a commercial for Kirin soft drink. Witness the warning for global domination below.

The girls look like they've eaten a bowl of cereal with a side of Phoenix down. NEW LEASE OF LIFE IN DEM F**KING EYES! "Spring of life" sounds like it's going to be everything. It will rain wigs the day this single drops in full.

  1. This is actually really shocking to me because their label have always been great for them but if it gets them to a wider audience and they arn't moving to (SL)Avex then it's all cool lol

The song sounds great and you're right they seem to have more energy about them too.

  2. I think Universal has learned the lessons that so many other Asian acts commit when trying to go international: conform to American standards.

Let Perfume bring Japan to the world and all of its Japan-ness.
