Nelly Furtado swags in the studio to "Big hoops (Bigger the better)"

Nelly Furtado is making a comeback, with her first international release in a long ass while. The lead single from her upcoming album is titled "Big hoops (The bigger the better)" and is produced by Rodney Jerkins. Nelly Fuarto and Darkchild!? I sure never saw this one coming! Near enough every album he's primarily produced post 2000 has been an outdated sounding flop. Rodney Jerkins was one of my favourite producers and songwriters in the late 90's. But somewhere along the way his sound became indistinguishable from everybody elses and he started copying other producers' styles. That signature Darkchild sound went AWOL and he started turning out mediocre music with the occasional bit of gold turning up here and there. In terms of musical identity, "Big hoops (Bigger the better)" doesn't sound like Darkchild all, but it does sound hot. So, we'll see...
