Still no word on a single or an album release date, but we get another promotional video tied in with an endorsement which includes a new song from Hennes & Mauritzyoncé titled "Standing on the sun", which is rumoured to be written by the woman of the moment, Sia Furler. If you don't know who this woman is by now, then you must have been in a coma for the past 2 years. I won't bring you up to speed. Google the woman and then feel like shit that you had been listening to her shit and singing it in the club like a drunken mess, unbeknownst that she was the woman behind at least 2 of the songs which you subconsciously know all of the words to and wouldn't be able to evict from your memory if you tried.
Beyoncé has trades in her dance rehearsal at Pepsi studios for a tropical pussy pop on a beach wearing H&M bikini's in a video directed by Jonas Åkerlund.
And just like that Rihanna's streetwalker collection for River Island got royally shat on.
Both song and video are pretty much "Baby boy" 2013. But Hennes &Mauritzyoncé looks hot. As with "Grown woman", whilst the sound of the song is nothing new, it sounds nice. I'm really not getting that sense of a new sound that everybody was talking up concerning Beyoncé's new album though. "Bow down" and "I been on" were hood messes, but at least they were different fodder for Beyoncé. Harder than anything she'd done before and the most lyrically insightful we've gotten from her to date. However, if they feature on this new album of hers alongside "Grown woman" and "Standing on the sun", then this will be yet another inconsistent mess from Beyoncé.
Beyonce is getting money thrown at her by Pepsi on weekdays and has H&M cutting cheques on weekends. And then there's that tour revenue. Be¥onc€ is getting PAID.

I don't know why ya'll are always demanding a 'NEW SOUND NEW DIRECTION' when what Beyonce has going on is what people love her for. And there isn't a single soul on this earth that wants her to go all ghetto hood again like that one song on 4 that nobody remembers including me.
ReplyDeleteBeyoncé's music never feels like it's growing or getting better. As a fan, I'm bored of her music. She hasn't delivered one album I've liked all the way through and thought "That was a SOLID album". She doesn't attempt to grow her sound or try to evolve it. She just does the same shit over and over. Somebody of her vocal talent should be putting out better albums than she has done.
ReplyDeleteEvery album of hers will feature a song or 2 where she dips into a different / evolved sound - it works and I love it. But then I get 8 other tracks of her doing the same shit I've heard before.
I wrote a whole article basically on my opinion and then it didn't post so TL;DR I expect booty jams and power ballads from Beyonce because she isn't a real artists she's an entertainer and its like asking brit brit to grow and experiment musically; it isn't gonna happen and there's no reason for it to happen when they do what they do really well (or in Britney's case mediocre to poorly)
ReplyDeleteThis is Shakira lite. I'm waiting for Shakira's new album "Rati" (Hindu Goddess of Carnal Desire, Love and Lust) that's been rumored to be jam-packed with oriental middle-eastern sounds mixed with electro-dance. Y'all better watch out.
ReplyDeletethis reminds constantly of a mashup of Aaliyah's "Rock The Boat" and CK's "Forever". I often wonder how Bey dances on sand and water and stuff, that ish can't be fun. lovin the vibe, i'm callin top contender for summer jam 2013!
ReplyDeleteim sorry those weaves are just awful, awful i say
