Hikaru Utada has some good news. No, there is no new single. Hikki home girl will stay keeping the world thirsty for new music. The good news (for her and the Italian barman who is about to marry into so much yen that he could swim in it for days) is that she's getting married...again.
Hikaru broke the new herself on her official blog, of which since details have slowly surfaced on who this man is (he's an 23 year old Italian barman) and...that's about it. The sad news isn't that she might be having some midlife crisis by rush marrying this man. The sad news is that she married some regular Joe that could have been you or me.
Every since Hikaru divorced she's been in a pretty shitty state. Something which was a major deciding factor behind her stepping away from the limelight completely. I still don't get why some people feel the need to rush into marriage and what exactly they feel it validates with somebody they're not known all that long. But if this is what makes Hikaru happy, then so be it. Hikaru had expressed that she was hesitant about getting engaged, but upon talking to her mother about her then boyfriend (shortly before her passing) that she seemed so genuinely happy that it spurred her to make her decision. When she puts it like that it's kinda hard to shade the marriage. Although ultimately we will. It wouldn't surprise me if the Italian dude had no idea that the woman he was serving drinks for could run a tab for the whole bar he works in for an entire year and barely scratch the surface of her pit of money because she had release THE BEST SELLING ALBUM IN ASIAN HISTORY. Which is actually quite sweet.
Ayumi Hamasaki will surely start planning her wedding to ensure it is as big and as extravagant as possible and will coincide it with a new single (which will flop) and 'A' TIME TO LOVE ~Countdown special~ (which will go straight to DVD because no broadcaster will want to air it exclusively) to try and make money from this marriage. Meanwhile Hikaru Utada will get married unbeknownst to anybody and then tweet a photo a year later of Kuma holding the wedding invitation. The following week Square Enix will then drop a new trailer of Kingdom Hearts III which features a clip of the new theme song from Hikaru Utada. Ayu will then file for divorce.
I hope this Italian's D is so damn good, that it has Hikaru hitting the studio to record some new new.
