Does anybody still even remember "Filthy"? Or "Supplies" for that matter? Nope? Well, Justin quickly put out a third single on the eve of his Super Bowl half-time performance. I'm not sure whether he did this to generate hype for his then upcoming performance or to remind people of the theme of his album following his album being dragged by reviewers for not really sticking well enough to it (amongst other things). But here we are. With some Spongebob nonsense of a song and some Yogi bear type foolishness for a video.
The video was cute. At least its consistent with the visual aesthetic of the album cover (kind of), the teaser and the album title itself. Even if it looks and sounds like an SNL skit. Which is fine, if that's your thing. And I don't mean it as an insult, because "Dick in the box" and "Mother lover" are two of Justin Timberlake's best songs and represent the few occasions where he was tolerable and you didn't want to go upside his head. It's just an odd single choice in what feels like a hat trick of odd single choices.
