Music video: Beyoncé kicks starts the Disney cinematic universe by featuring a young Ariel in her music video for "Spirit"
Beyoncé dropped a music video for "Spirit" unannounced. But the Hive been knew it was coming. And we knew when it did that Beyoncé was gonna serve us looks, Africa, big pussy energy and blackness. And that's exactly what a bitch did.
This video is like if Solange worked with late 90s Hype Williams to co-direct Janet Jackson's "Together again" or Mary J. Blige's "Everything". I like it.
I did wonder how many visuals we would get for Beyoncé's companion album The Lion king: The gift, because we know how a bitch loves to shoot all the music videos. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if she shot a whole ass film for the album, but she's holding it back because Disney was already shook about her album fucking up sales of the soundtrack.
Beyoncé also took this moment to silence those using 'BuT aRiEL hAs ReD hAiR' to mask their racism as to why Halle Bailey shouldn't have been cast as Ariel in Disney's live action remake of The little mermaid. She had herself, her daughter and her dancers stand in the middle of the Namib desert with red hair like 'Try again'.
Beyoncé also kick started the Disney cinematic universe by having her daughter, tour manager, social media director, business ventures and acquisition manager and choreographer Blue Ivy star in the "Spirit" section of her video as a young Ariel.
Ain't nobody know why Ariel is pre-film age with her legs and in the middle of Africa. But Beyoncé told Disney that's their business for them to figure out, before her holo-yoncé-gram picked up its Minku bag, Bôhten shades and then disconnected.
