Super Junior "Super clap" for the fact they're still going *Pan camera to the Girls' Generation memorial*
Girls' generation are in limbo and SM entertainment are in-denial about the fact that group is basically over as they once knew it. But at least they still have Super Junior to represent from the 2nd generation of K-Pop. Even if the members have been in a state of rotation over the past couple of years with members switching in and out due to military enlistment. A perk of having a group with fifty-eleven members.
But I'll hand it to SM and the Super Junior boys. They're still here and putting out music that's not completely that terrible.
"Super clap" is a nice song. The breakdown is doo-doo and I certainly could have done without it. But I still like the song as a whole. It doesn't pander to any sound in particular and it doesn't feel like it's trying to be something it's not. It's just a good, fun song, with a good, fun video.
And it's great to see that Shindong hasn't been hidden away and forced to slim down. I do admire the fact that Super Junior has a larger sized member. We ain't ever seeing this for a girl group though. Not with the way netizens be coming for the ladies.
Super Junior's 9th studio album Time_slip is available on all streaming platforms now. It's not great, but it's not terrible. Par the course for a Super Junior album.
