Aussie pop star Sam Sparro is back with a new song, and it's got my Jheri curl whippin' left to right and making a damn mess.
After releasing the smooth Anita Baker ass sounding "Outside the blue" in September (check it out if you haven't already), Sam is serving a slice of 80s R&B with production so authentic that you could tell somebody that this shit is from the 80s and they wouldn't bat an eyelid.
The only thing missing to give it that extra bit of 80's flair is some double tracking on the vocals and a bit of reverb. But this is just me being super picky on what is a really good fucking song.
I'd love to hear a female vocalist take this on though. There is just something about this song that feels like it'd hit different with a female vocal on it, serving shoulder pads and bucket hats with a sunflower in the music video intercut with scenes of gay black dudes dancing as silhouettes on a white backdrop.
Between this and "Outside the blue", I'm ready for whatever EP, LP, any-P Sam wants to drop.
Come get this wig babes.
