Negoto frontwoman Sachiko Aoyama drops a fly-ass 3D / Pixel art visual for her song "Vanilla" | Random J Pop

After 6 years and 5 albums and 4 EP's, J-Electro / Rock band Negoto had decided to call it quits. And 2 years on, its former frontwoman is going it solo.

Sachiko Aoyama had released an EP which was made exclusively available at two of her gigs aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that's it. No wider release date announced. But we do at the very least get a music video for one of its songs, "Vanilla". So I'm sure a wider release will come in the new year. Otherwise, why tho? And because Japan aren't as messy as we are, that EP ain't floating around the Internet to the extent it would if somebody like Charli XCX was selling EP's at her shows. That shit would hit Mediafire and Dropbox so fucking fast.

"Vanilla" doesn't stray from Negoto's sound, which will be solace for those distraught over the disbandment of the group. And the music video is glorious.

The music video was created by Shiga Takumi, which fuses 3D visuals with pixel art. It's a gorgeously whimsical video. No doubt GIF'd moments from it are doing the rounds on Tumblr.
