Music video: M-Flo and Chelmico are daytime TV anime superhero "Run Aways" | Random J Pop

When M-Flo announced that they were bringing back their M-Flo ♥ series, I was relieved. Because M-Flo on their own just feels...lacking. They are artists who shine when they collaborate with others. It also gives them more of a focus when crafting songs, because they make a conscious effort to make it fit the style of the guest artist. And with Lisa back in the mix, it makes for a new and interesting dynamic, given that the heart series was started in part because of her departure 2002.

"Run Aways" featuring Chelmico follows "Tell Me Tell Me" with Sik-K, eill, & Mukai Taichi, and is another song reminiscent of the style most identify with M-Flo in their heyday.

The music video for "Run Aways" features the 80s daytime TV anime M-Flo avatars which were created as part of their Mortal Portal Radio show. With Miss Pan Demiq placing restrictions on shoots, M-Flo could just say 'Fuck it, use the anime characters in the music video' and it doesn't seem like an obvious cover up for not being able to shoot a music video.

Y'all see how shit works out sometimes?

A fun song and an equally fun music video. It's great to see M-Flo returning back to form and having fun again. There will of course be a new album at some point, and I best see another M-Flo ♥ Crystal Kay collabo. Real ones know that they don't ever put a foot wrong.
