Of course SM Entertainment were going to have Red Velvet cover a BoA song.
Oh! GG WHO!?
The girls got back together to perform one of BoA's earlier hits "Milky Way", and Irene looked like she'd rather be anywhere else. 'Why am I sat in this fake-ass garden singing some child's lullaby, when I should be giving the girls and the gays the Naughty choreo!?' Irene. Probably.
This arrangement was pretty close to the original, which is what made it so boring. The harmonies on the chorus (albeit playback) sounded tight, and I always like hearing a girl group make use of every member in a way that doesn't disrupt the flow of a song. But it was Red Velvet just doing karaoke to a BoA song. I'd have expected a cover like this from Girls' Generation and I would've been easier on it if they had done this, because it's what I'd expect and it's in their lane. I'd have much rather heard Red Velvet put a spin on "Milky Way", and give me something I can't get from the original.
