Former member of 2NE1, bad g'yal Chaelin better known as CL had released an EP In the Name of Love in December of 2019, which was nothing special. It sounded like B-side 2NE1 material and didn't feature any trace of the CL that I felt many wanted to see and hear. That CL being the one we get now, in her latest release "Post Up".

So many rappers in K-Pop do not write their own lyrics. So it was nice to see CL listed as a writer in the credits and that she's taking her craft somewhat seriously.

CL looks great. She sounds great. The swag that had me and countless others fall for her during her 2NE1 days is still as potent as ever . But to get the GZB's hyped, just to drop a one and a half minute song with one verse and a music video that we've basically seen because its made up of the visuals we got in the countless teasers leading up to its release, with NO follow up as to what's coming and when!?

Gurl. What are you doing? You are not Beyoncé or Ariana Grande.

We need a follow-up as to when we can expect a new song, an album. SOMETHING.

CL has had so many false starts with this solo career of hers. Fans will scream from the rooftops how she's busy with fashion and she's still booked whenever you mention that her music shit isn't together. That's cute and that's lovely. But where's the music? CL should be doing more than just showing on up Jeremy Scott's Instagram once every now and then, and making an appearance in an Ivy Park commercial. She should be out here as a fully fledged Pop star, who is in fashion magazines and commercials because the music is doing big things. It's such a shame to see CL's talents not being fully expended, and to see her drip feeding music in this manner because she and her team can't get it together. It will never not be wild to me how YG entertainment and Scooter Braun both had CL signed to them with a track record of success, and they just dropped the ball and fumbled the bags.
