With Miss Corona still forcing everybody into new methods of doing just about everything, British fashion designer Gareth Pugh has released a film for this latest collection titled The Reconstruction in the place of your regular ass runway. And because, who doesn't like content?!
This isn't becoming a fashion blog y'all. This particular collection is of note for Pixels, because Miss Sawayama herself features in it, as you can see from the image at the top of this post. She also features in the film itself, but there's no interview with her. Just her behind the scenes. (Jump to the 14 minute mark to see her).
I just wanted a reason to talk about Rina for a minute, because it's been a while since I last posted on her, yet I still run songs from her album back on a regular basis. The whole Mercury Prize and BRIT award situation was / is a mess, but it's not looking like Sawayama is gonna get any of the awards that it deserves this year, which is a real shame. Sawayama is easily one of the best albums of 2020; I knew that much back in April. And now in the ninth month of the year, ain't shit changed. It's still one of the best release of this hell year and one of the best things to come out of it.
