Random J Playlist: RuPaul's Drag Race UK Lip sync for your life - Wishlist vol. 1

RuPaul's Drag Race got so damn big and has long had fans and queens demanding a UK version that we eventually got it. RuPaul's Drag Race UK was so fucking popular that we will now have a second season about to kick off in the new year.

I will admit. I watch me some Drag Race, as problematic as the show, the fandom and it's host is. The US version has been falling off for many a season. But the UK version won me over in a big way, being a higher concentration of the things that I really liked from earlier seasons of the Stateside original. So hopefully they retain that.

One of the disappointing parts of Drag Race UK however, was that it didn't have the best selection of lip sync songs or memorable lip syncs, period. This has been an issue across Drag Race for the past few seasons. Even now, with it not being that long since season 132 aired, I cannot remember a single lip sync or even a song.

So I made a playlist of songs that I think would make a great set of lip sync songs for Drag Race UK season 2.

I also think it's really strange how Drag Race will have a guest judge who is a pop star, but not always have them lip sync to one of their songs...on that episode...whilst the star is RIGHT there.

Confirmed pop star judges for RuPaul's Drag Race season 2 include MNEK (who strangely wasn't a guest judge on season 1 despite featuring on the season) and Jessie Ware. So, hopefully we'll get a lip sync to a song from What's Your Pleasure? and a bitch can get those extra streams and album sales that she deserves.
