Swedish pop star Agnes and her Steven Universe gem looking-ass drops a visual for her disco jam "24 Hours"
What is it with artists dropping these great-ass, gay-ass bops JUST outside of Pride month!? Well, as is widely said, Pride isn't just for a month, so FUCK IT. I guess.
Agnes is the Swedish Ruben Studdard, holding the title of being the second Idol winner in her home country. This is literally the only thing that makes her the Swedish Ruben Studdard, because she sounds and looks absolutely nothing like him. I don't know why I even made that comparison. Oh no, wait. Idol.
HENNYWAY.
Agnes has been on a path of reinvention since 2018, having dropped a string of great songs which did not get the attention they deserved. And here she is, with another song that looks like it's about to get done the same way, despite being fucking fantastic. The sound. The look. Agnes did not miss.
I know Sylvester is looking down like 'Yes bitch'.
Kylie got some good songs for Disco. Some great songs in fact. But if she got this!? Chile. The gays would have collapsed. And if Duolingo had gotten it?! A wrap.
I hate saying shit like 'If [Insert artist name here] had gotten this song, it woulda been a hit', but constantly say 'If [Insert artist name here] had gotten this song, it woulda been a hit', because I can't help it. I shouldn't have to, and it's unfortunate that I end up saying it at all with songs which are perfect as they are with who released them. "24 Hours" deserved to be a smash hit with Agnes. BUT (here it comes) if Duolingo had gotten this song, it woulda been all kinds of a hit, because anything Duolingo releases ends up a smash. But I mention Duolingo because "24 Hours" is only a few degrees away from "Physical" in terms of its sound and also a beautifully directed and edited music video - both of which went down a treat commercially.
If y'all have taste, you will like this, and will do the right thing and run Agnes her YouTube views and streams.
