Purple Disco Machine and Agnes team up for “Twisted Mind”

So, Agnes has fully let Magic Still Exists go. No music video for “Here Comes the Night”. No follow up single. No announcement of a Deluxe edition of the album. A bitch has moved the fuck on, and is doing so with Purple Disco Machine; who actually has bothered to extend the life of his last studio album Exotica with a deluxe edition, including a new song which features Agnes herself.

If you know Purple Disco Machine, and you know Agnes' Magic Still Exists, then you’ll know how much sense this pairing makes.

I don’t think this song or video are anything special. But it’s nice to see Agnes on something new, and on something which will hopefully put her on the radars of more people. Because “Fingers Crossed” and “24 Hours” did not cause the waves that they should have. Those were two of the best releases in 2020 and 2021 respectively. And I took the radio silent response personally.

But most importantly, Agnes seems to be in a good place career wise and personally; which is great to see following where she was at the time she chose to step away from music. So hopefully this will mean that we won’t have to wait so long for a follow up to Magic Still Exists. Although I do wish she would consider a deluxe edition release of it.

World of Wonder also announced that there will be a Drag Race Sweden. It goes without saying that the lip sync song choices SHOULD be one of the best the franchise has seen if the pool is Swedish artists, but this is Drag Race as it exists now and has done for the past couple of years. So it won’t be. But if the team responsible for the song choices have taste, they will make sure they put an Agnes song in the line-up AND have her on as a guest judge. Especially after the high camp looks she served for Magic Still Exists.
