This is late. But I don’t care. Y’all don't come here for up to date news.
I thought CL was done with Alpha, but I guess not. Because here we are with another music video. I’m not going to go on about how CL shoulda released “Paradise”. Because as much as I fucks with that song, “Chuck” was a great choice, and got itself a really great throwback video.
My initial thoughts from the get-go was that this video was very reminiscent of “Hello Bitches”, which was probably CL’s whole intention. “Chuck” was choreographed by Parris Goebel, who also choreographed and directed the video for “Hello Bitches”. And several of the other dancers in the video for “Chuck” are the very same dances who were in “Hello Bitches”, along with Parris Goebel herself.
Not that CL needed to remind anybody who she was / is, but making “Chuck” somewhat of a “Hello Bitches” affair was a smart move, given how popular that music video was. And CL revisting it creates a full circle moment for CL. “Hello Bitches” was supposed to be the kickstart of her CL’s solo career, but as some of us recall, no such thing happened, and then CL ended up benched. But now here she is, with her solo career finally having taken off. Thriving. In abundance. Realising her dreams without YG Entertainment or Scooter Braun, and all on her own terms.
