The Queen of Christmas has done it, as "All I want for Christmas is you" hits the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100
She's finally done it y'all. "All I want for Christmas is you" has finally hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. It's absolutely wild that given the popularity of the song that it didn't top the chart sooner. But it's finally done it. 25 years after its first release. An album that Mariah was sceptical of is responsible for the biggest song of her career. Possibly anybody's career. How the fuck do you compete with a popular original Christmas song which has charted at No. 1 on the Hot 100!?
You can't. That's the answer.
Mariah going full pelt for the 25th anniversary release of her first Christmas album has clearly paid off. Although, even if the song didn't go to number 1, Mariah embracing Christmas and promoting it like no other has been fun to watch as a fan. We might have to add Queen of content to her titles, because she's really been delivering with it this Holiday season. In fact, she's been giving it to us all year.
Michelle Obama left Mariah this message to show her support.
Mariah Carey is THE undisputed Queen of Christmas. And that's that on that.
Now that "All I want for Christmas is you" has rightfully charted at no. 1, can we finally get justice for "Christmas time is in the air again"?
