Music video: Chung Ha gives it to the gays with "Stay Tonight"

Former I.O.I member Chung Ha had only released an album last year. But she said 'D'ya know what? I'mma give the gays everything they want in the thick of this pandemic'.

It was nice to see male dancers in a full beat and heels serving down a bit of Vogue in the choreography. Genderfuck and queerness in South Korea is still a no-no in the mainstream unless it's done for laughs - which is crazy considering male idols wearing make-up has been a thing for years, as has baiting fans with male-on-male titillation between group members. But it's great to see female K-Pop acts working queerness into their music videos like it's not a big deal, when it actually is. Even if for some it's just a trend.

Between the visuals and the sound, I couldn't help but think about how much BoA woulda ate this.
