Crystal is not playing with the dancing this era at all. She's gone from looking a stiff bitch with a locked vertebrae to looking for any excuse to bust-a-move on a hoe. I love how confident she looks in this video. The dance steps weren't as slick as "Superman"'s, but they suited the song to a tee. The hair whippin' on the bridge was so serious I felt it in my neck and had to call my insurance company to send me a subsidiary cheque and claim on whiplash.
Crystal Kay just shitted on Beyoncé's "Deja vu" video and took a steaming hot shit on The Forehead's "Where have you been?". She out whipped, out danced and out songed both of those Jay-Z piece sucking tricks. The only thing I didn't like about this video were the scenes of Crystal in Ayumi Hamasaki's living room. She should have been all up against a palm tree, not cosying up indoors whilst her back-up hoes were popping their pussy and opening their legs mid air outside.
The night time scene was fly as hell. I think it came too soon in the song though. It felt like such a climactic It's going OWFFF kinda scene that it probably would have worked better coming in at the end. It would have been nice if the first verse was broad daylight, the second verse and bridge was all sunset and then the bridge and ending was the night scene.
I can see that "Forever" is gonna be one of those songs which is synonymous with the video. Because it works so much better with it than without it because of how perfectly it ties in and visually represents the song to a tee.
Levey. You rock for hooking us up with this. If your computer is anything like mine, the Youku videos will grind your shit to a halt. So if the Youku embed is f**king up your PC, please blame him. Thanks, bye.
📝 Album reviews: Crystal is ...All yours | ...going through a Color change! | ...try'na act Flash | ...trying to Spin the music
LOL Crystal better fucking get up off her ass and dance, after all those half ass attempts for her other era's/ pvs that had her sat in a chair as if she's Namie Amuro *side eyes Namida No Saki Ni Pv*. All of her PVs have been so engaging for this era and actually worth watching more than once. I had to rewind the beginning of the Pv, I was like is Crystal ACTUALLY dancing with some energy haha. The night scene was a welcomed surprise, I wasn't expecting it all, and it was definitely the highlight of the video.
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest and say that Crystal wasn't really someone that I cared about. I could recognize her talent, but that was it. But because of this era I am obsessed with her. She just seems to have a new air of confidence. And this Pv couldn't have been more perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis video is just the beginning! You can see her exuding passion in this pv. I wonder if it'd be too much to ask for a post VIVID video release. I am all ready excited for "Yo Yo" and can't wait to hear its English version. American single anyone?
ReplyDeleteBy the way my pc is on her way out too. So hopefully youku won't send it to the dump sooner. Lolz
Agree! I need a post album video too... I haven't even heard "How we do" but I'm imagining it as some "Ex Boyfriend" shit and I need a video for it with CK on her current Choreography level.
DeleteWord and btw I haven't heard about "How We Do" new song? Did you mean "What We Do"? either way they are both titles that implicate fun party times!
Deletei love her hair glad she's dancing with energy she had lots of fun doing it can't wait for the next video and the album
ReplyDeleteIt was much much much much much better than I expected. Crystal needed the change, needed the confidence. I waited so long to see my girl looking this powerful, and to see this kind of video coming from her with the mesmerizing look and wonderful choreography. She keeps up doing stuff like this... and she will have the world at her feet.
ReplyDeleteShe has it all:looks, brains, talent, passion, charisma, sensuality and a tad of innocence in her eyes that industry will love to enslave.
Oh my... This is the best video she has ever done in many ways: the set looks like it has a life on it's own, the clothes are cute, the hair I love it, the movements are flawless and her energy/confidence/sexuality looks like we've never seen before.
I love Crystal Kay, she makes me a proud fan.
Hmm, tell me how she shitted on any of the aforementioned videos. Because imo, this wasn't that great. It actually looked a tad cheap and basic. Not Superman cheap, a good few notches above that. Delicious na Kinyoubi still remains the best video of the VIVD era.
ReplyDeleteLove the song, not a fan of the video. It looked she was having fun though.
this right here was FLAWLESS!!! it "made my heart smile" -- meaning i was genuinely touched by the whole thing. i had a dopey grin plastered on my face the whole time! :D it was a clean, simple performance video that let the music speak for itself. the choreo took all of it to the next level and the overall feel was that of pure fun, innocence, and relaxation. it's everything is summer hit should be. so happy for crystal, this was really nice.
ReplyDeleteI Like It!
ReplyDeleteShe has so much energy, and you can see she was enjoying it, very nice, beatiful girls doing gymnastics leaps!
I just can't get over the fact, that i believe her voice is very strong and relaxing to hear, that popish songs like this doesn't let her show her true potential.
I like it "iiiiiiin maaaaaaaaaaah ays!"
TRUE!!! The video is really cute, I too am amazed by how CK has gone from a slow two stepper to a pussy pop/weave thrasher expert in so little time lol
ReplyDeleteShows that there's hope for basic try less hoes ww *looks at Keri Flopson, Rihanna (props for WHYB choreo) and Mariah (If you're gonna mime why not pussy pop to "Dream Lover"???)*
J i agree with you about the tweaks you'd make to the running order too and that scene in the living room was such a wtf moment lmao... CK shoulda been grinding on a dancer or a palm tree like you said not a rustic indoor pillar beside a potted plant.
J, I should be slapped for just watching this today! Blasian told me it was up days ago I am just now making it here to see this! Words cannot express how much I loved this video, but I am going to try anyway. Like others have already said, this video had me smiling the whole way through. I feel like a parent who has nurtured and supported a child for 18 years and I finally got to see my baby walk across the stage. This is a true color change for Crystal because she has truly evolved as an artist and taken her charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent to a whole new level. Lol
ReplyDeleteThis video brought more life than 10 Phoenix Downs with the bright colors, well crafted choreography, and superb vocals. It was truly a pleasure and an experience to watch Crystal have so much passion and fun in this video. I could care less how many albums this girl sells, this is already a #1 hit in my books.
I want this single, video, and entire album ASAP. It doesn't appear to be on iTunes in the States just yet, but I will sure get it as soon as it drops.
@J Shinosuke - this whole comments reads like a RPDG elimination speech, i was too dead @ that first paragraph.
Delete@Bryan - That is what I was going for. Lol Glad you caught the reference.
DeleteI'm truly amazed. This PV was beyond my expectations. Crystal has come a long way and I have to thank Universal for making it happen. The choreography was on point and I always knew CK had great dancing skills. CK better win a MTV award for this PV next year. I'm dead serious.
