Revised Editions: Perfume’s Game, Triangle, JPN, LEVEL3, Cosmic Explorer & Future Pop

We may not all agree on what Perfume’s best album is, and we may not all agree on which out of Perfume’s albums is the worst. But I'm sure the one thing we can collectively agree on is that the track order on Perfume's albums has been pretty ragged since Triangle. Like, bitch. You're really gonna lead the album with “Love the World” and not “Edge”? You really gonna end Cosmic Explorer with “Hold Your Hand” and not “Star Train”? You really gonna slap “Mirai no Museum” in-between “1mm” and “Party Maker”? LEVEL3 and Cosmic Explorer had more wrong with them than just a shitty track order, but it certainly didn't help and caused the albums to sound worse than they were.

Then there are the infamous album mixes, which did more harm than good until the tables turned with the Cosmic explorer version of “Cling Cling”. So I went and created Spotify playlists for Triangle, JPN, LEVEL3, Cosmic explorer and even Future pop with revised track orders and track listings. So now, “Hurly Burly” is on LEVEL3. “Tokyo Girl” is on Cosmic Explorer. And “Fake It” is on JPN. Amongst a bunch of other tweaks and changes that help the albums flow a little better from top to bottom.

I had also created a playlist full of Perfume’s bops, inappropriately titled Perfume Pussy Poppers. Perfect for workouts at the gym, Twerks in the kitchen whilst your waiting for your pasta to boil or whilst you’re blowing a back out.
