Remix: Hikaru Utada with Nariaki Obukuro - Tomodachi (T5UMUT5UMU bootleg)

I first came across this remix back in 2017. But since then the link to the remix that I had embedded in the original post died, so I decided to re-post it.

Now. Between us Hikaru Utada fans. We all know that "Tomodachi" is the fucking jam.

T5UMUT5UMU's Jersey bounce-esque remix of "Tomodachi" nudges the song into space that makes sense, whilst still retaining enough of what I love about the original. The higher BPM and the bounce on the hook taking a song that you could only really slow Tango to and turn it into something you can thrash a weave piece and pop your entire pussy to.

If the original version of "Tomodachi" is you doing the Tango with your current boo, whilst trying to catch the eye of the friend you want to put it on you whilst they are dancing with their boo; then the remix is you just throwing it on them and not caring about the consequence.

As a fan of "Tomodachi" it's nice to hear a switched up version of the song. It's a shame that the full bounce of the remix doesn't kick in until the final run of the chorus. Still, I like this. And when its in my headphones in the gym, the treadmill gets an extra 1km outta me. Plus, it's fitting that the LGBTQ bop of the century gets a Jersey club type of treatment.

The original version of "Tomodachi" is great for a slow dance, but a pussy can't pop to it. IT CAN NOW THO BITCH!
