Crystal Kay re-opens Crystal café and stays booked for Christmas

To commemorate Crystal Kay's 20th anniversary in the J-music game, she will be doing a couple of Crystal café gigs, which are smaller scale performances in jazz houses, lounges and the such where Crystal performs stripped down acoustic versions of her songs and a few covers. This was also the same format that she adopted for her lil' North American tour. Something that I hope she does again and extends to Europe. Because, bitch. You got fans here. I say 'here' like the UK is still a part of Europe.

Crystal touring is great news, but there's still not a word on any new music. You would expect for there to have been a new music drop or a project to commemorate the anniversary milestone, but nope. Nothing. Not even the cover album that we know is in the works. If it's still even in the works.

Although Crystal's first album was released in the month of March, so maybe we'll get new of something nearer March 2020 to mark the occasion. I damn well hope so.

November 2nd - Blue Note (Nagoya)
November 9th - Motion Blue (Yokohama)
November 14th - Billboard Live (Osaka)
November 27 - Billboard Live (Tokyo)

Billboard Live have a website where you can buy tickets and see other artists that have gigs at Billboard Live venues, but I couldn't even see Crystal Kay on the damn thing.

The LDH marketing team really be putting in that work.

Crystal Kay will also be doing a couple of televised performances over the next 2 months, neither of which we'll probably see, 'cos people don't be recording Crystal's shit like that.

Fellow J-artist Chay will be doing a live show by the name of Xmas live -Fairy tale- on Christmas day, which will feature an appearance from Crystal Kay. And Landmark plaza shopping centre have partnered with Yokohama FM to hold a special live Christmas event from December 22nd - 25th, with Crystal Kay performing on Christmas day. The show will be televised and will air on December 30th.

I hope home girl has put in that KFC Christmas bucket order, 'cos she ain't gonna have no time nor energy to cook on Christmas day.
