I was about to say that Beyoncé finally decided to come out of hiding for a magazine appearance. But it was only a couple of months ago that The Lion King came out and Nalayoncé was actually doing red carpets an AN interview, because Disney told her ass they were paying her too much money no to.
Beyoncé features in the January issue of Elle. But with Beyoncé being Beyoncé, this ain't no regular ass feature. First off, all of the photos were shot by Melina Matsoukas, who most may know at present as the director of the Black Bonnie & Clyde flick Queen & Slim. But she got her big break shooting videos for Beyoncé way back with B'Day and has worked with Queen B on visuals for every album since then.
Whilst Beyoncé graces the cover and takes up a bunch of double page spreads in this issue of Elle, she didn't do a standard sit down interview. She instead answered a bunch of questions which Elle had shortlisted for Beyoncé to answer. And by 'Elle had shortlisted', I mean 'Blue Ivy' who will be Editor-in-chief of this magazine by 2021.
Beyoncé didn't tell us much that we didn't already know, but it was still a fun read. If you're one of those 'TLDR' type of people, then lemme give you the highlights.
If Beyoncé could be an animal, she'd still be a whale.
She was asked this question back in 2000 and gave the same answer.
There will be no home release of the Formation world tour.
But fans probably won't trust this, because it's Beyoncé. And bitch still could release s'um.
Beyoncé practises what she preaches and stays hiring women around her.
Many of Beyonce's top brass at her Parkwood company are women. Her head of production, head of PR, her general manager, all women.
Beyoncé doesn't know her own snapchat ID.
I just know this bitch has secret Twitter and Instagram accounts and is seeing all of our mess, liking it and commenting on it like she one of us.
New Ivy Park with Adidas is coming in January and there will be genderless pieces in the collection.
I'm glad to hear this, because I remember seeing some Ivy Park pieces that I wanted back when the brand was with Topshop. But because it only came in women's sizing, it just didn't work for me. I feel no way about buying women's shit I like. I regularly buy women's button up flannel dresses in the largest size and wear them as open long shirts.
Beyoncé's hates being asked if she's pregnant. 'Get off my ovaries!'
And that's that.
Rumours were circulating that Beyoncé has shot a new music video. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if her Ivy Park re-launch with Adidas came with some new music and a visual which features her in some of the new pieces. But the thing with Beyoncé is that everything is speculation and hearsay until either Beyoncé surprise snatches us at 4 in the morning, or she posts it on her Insta.
