Crystal Kay performs "Eternal Memories" and "Forever" in her living room

Everybody's shit has been turned upside and then some, because Miss Corona decided to kick off her Contamination world tour, and leaders of some of the world's biggest economies decided they wanted everybody to get nosebleed seats to see this bitch. So, now here we are.

The music business has been trying to not only help not fill the gap left by concerts being cancelled and TV productions shutting down, denying fans of televised performances; but to also raise money via these live show-a-thons or whatever the fuck they be called.

Crystal Kay featured on a Live x Live stream for the US and Canada, which was curated by M-Flo, where she performed "Eternal Memories" and an acoustic version of "Forever", where she played the guitar herself. And because the stream was going out to the US, she talked in detail about the songs and who she is, which was nice to not only hear in English, but to just hear, period. Crystal Kay interviews are pretty thin on the ground, much less ones in English.

Crystal Kay had teased a song from her upcoming covers album back in March, but there's not been much news on it since. Crystal's PR team don't be working all that hard, even when the economy isn't wrapped around a tree, so it's difficult to tell whether the lack of news is because of the pandemic or it's just business as usual. But you can still listen to the song all streaming platforms, as well as a couple of her albums. I'm sure her inclusion in this Live x Live gig was a pretty last minute thing, but it's a damn shame her full discography wasn't made available globally to coincide with when it aired.

Streams mean more to artists now than ever, so if you do have music streaming accounts, run that shit all day and support your faves. And make sure you get your money's worth and then some. I think we forget we be paying for these streaming accounts.
