Victoria Monet's debut album is finally out and with it, we got a music video for the title track "Jaguar". Victoria has not put a foot wrong with the singles from this project. The punani trilogy ("Ass Like That", "Moment" and "Dive") was already great. Then we got a nice chilled Disco bop with "Experience", and then she goes and gives me a bonus wig snatching with this Quincy Jones, Chic, Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind & Fire ass banger, with a visual which gives me The Lion King meets Final Fantasy VII (all the green magical shit reminds me of materia and the lifestream).
This was a really cool video. It's a shame that the pandemic prevented her from shooting something, because this was such a good concept, and it would've been great to have actually had Victoria in it and giving us the choreo. None of the visuals we've gotten from Jaguar so far have shown that Victoria can dance. Not that it's a requirement by any means. But it would have been awesome to have shown that she can give it as much as all the other Pop girls out here, and maybe even led to some TikTok moments to push the reach of the song further.
I'mma need Victoria Monét to give me a tour with an all female orchestra called the Punani orchestra and give me a performance of this.
