As Pop star Shamir readies his second album of 2020, he's keeping the singles rollin'. Fresh off the back of a "Running", "I Wonder" and the criminally overlooked "On My Own" comes "Other side", which contnues on Shamir's foray into Rock tinged Pop, but with a Country twang.
A Black queer artist giving me a Country style bop? Yes. I am here for it. Shamir's style is very lo-fi. But I do wish the mixing for the chorus were a little better. Shamir's vocals sound like they're too far back behind the music. Other than that though- *Puts on Cowboy boots*
Shamir's self-titled album is released on October 2nd.
