The Platinum Pleasure edition of Jessie Ware's What's Your Pleasure? is officially coming

The Platinum Pleasure edition of Jessie Ware's What's Your Pleasure? is officially coming | Random J Pop

Last year, Jessica said she was toying with the idea of releasing one of the best albums of 2020 aka her fourth studio album What's Your Pleasure?. And bitch. It's happening. Jessie dropped a new song, the official album cover and the tracklist for what is deemed What's Your Pleasure? The Platinum Pleasure edition.

The Platinum Pleasure edition of What's Your Pleasure? will be available on June 11, 2021 and will feature 6 new songs, the 2018 digital single "Overtime" and a remix to "Adore You". There is also a song which features Kindness (aka Adam Bainbridge) who also co-wrote "Step Into My World".

Jessie Ware had shared last year that she had recorded a whole bunch of songs for her fourth studio album, many of which she loved, but of course couldn't include all of them. So it's great to have the chance to hear just a few of these songs. And if "Please" is anything to go by, they're going to make what was already a fantastic album even better and increase Jessie's wig count.

Jessica didn't see the list that I'd laid out of how to roll out this re-release. But she did include "Overtime". So, that's one out of seven.

Unfortunately, as you can see, the new songs are just slapped onto the end of the album as opposed to actually being worked into the existing tracklist. As much as I like "Please", just slapping it after "Remember Where You Are" THE PERFECT ALBUM CLOSER is a mess. Y'all who frequent this blog know I will re-jig this tracklist into something cohesive when this album drops in full.

I wish deluxe and re-released editions of albums actually considered trying to include new songs into tracklists in a sensical way that still maintains an albums' flow. Especially in the case of this album, where the additional songs were recorded during the original sessions and were intended to be a part of this album at some point, so undoubtedly will share the same sound. It's one thing about K-Pop repackages that I wish the world would adopt.

The Platinum Pleasure edition of What's Your Pleasure? will be available physically and digitally on June 11, 2021, with a limited edition vinyl press also being made available. And we'll more than likely get a couple of digital singles before then.

I hate what was done to the cover, but whatever.

I hope we get a big push for at least one single and a great music video. But Jessie is heavily pregnant, still co-hosting a popular podcast and has just released a book which she's also promoting, AND she's probably rehearsing for her upcoming tour. And we are also still very much in a pandemic, so...yep. Let's not expect too much. Jessie Ware is very conscious about not being out and doing whatever the fuck, unlike Dua Lipa, who be bouncing around the world like the airplane on the world map in Street Fighter II.
