K-Pop has some new kids on the block by the name Tomorrow X Together, or TXT for short. Cute.

These dudes debuted earlier in the year but have only just released their first full length album, following an EP which released in March.

Their latest single is titled "9 ¾ (Run away)", which won't mean a damn thing to anybody that's not read nor watched Harry Potter. The music video pretty much depicts what Hogwarts would be like for Harry Oppa if it were more of a traditional South Korean high school and not some death castle in the middle of nowhere. The song features lyrics such as ♪ Bippity boppity boo ♪. Wrong story. But, okay then. I see what y'all tried to do.

It's nice to have an idol group just release a good, fun Pop song that's not trying to be hip or packaged in what an agency / label thinks will do well in the US. The whole vibe of "9 ¾ (Run away)" reminds me some old skool UK boy band Pop, which makes a change, as it's not a sound I often from an idol K-Pop boy band these days.

I know that there's more to K-Pop idol groups than the usual suspects that I needn't name. But it's the usual suspects that suck up all the attention, so they tend to be face of K-Pop in general and ultimately steers the trends. So it's nice to have something come along that's a little different from what I'm used to hearing and seeing.

TXT's debut album The dream chapter: Magic is available on all streaming platforms as of yesterday and it's pretty damn good.
