If you consider yourself a lover of Pop, then you know of Cathy Dennis. And if you don't then I won't shame you. But, SHAME ON YOU! Because you have heard at least one song that Cathy Dennis herself has written. Of this, I am sure.

Cathy Dennis is a British singer and songwriter who had a career as a solo artist back in the early 90s. Her most known song is "Touch Me (All Night Long)", a song I'd heard for a good while in TV shows and films for years, oblivious that it was Cathy Dennis singing it.

Miss Dennis is the woman behind two of the biggest names in Pop. The Grammy award winning "Toxic" by Britney Spears and Katy Perry's breakout smash hit single "I Kiss A Girl". The royalties from "Toxic" alone will keep Cathy Dennis bank account stacked. Let alone a monster smash for Katy Perry and the numerous other hit hits that she's written. S Club 7's "Reach" and "Never Had A Dream Come True", Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" and the Sugababes' "About You Now" to name just a couple.

Around 2005 when Cathy was unknowingly writing for Britney Spears ("Toxic" was actually offered to Kylie Minogue first), she formed a working relationship with the producers of the song, Bloodshy & Avant. Not only did Cathy, Bloodshy & Avnt work together on songs from 2003 - 2007, but almost 10 years later when Bloodshy broke off to form Galantis, he brought Cathy back into the mix to not only write for them, but provide vocals to songs for each of their albums.

Cathy Dennis hasn't penned a hit of "Toxic" or "I Kissed A Girl" proportions in a while, but she stays busy, with writing credits in albums from Chris Brown, AlunaGeorge, Kelly Clarkson and K-Pop group EXO.

Cathy could not write another song again and be absolutely fine. She went down in history with "Toxic" and got a revenue stream for life along with it.
