Music video: Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon guest features on her own song, "Dessert"

Ever since Tiffany, Sooyoung and Seohyun chose not to sign the rest of their lives away to SM entertainment, I know they've been pissed at having to bench one of their most successful groups; which would explain why they're going H.A.M on Red Velvet. Taeyeon don't give a shit. Her solo career is set. But those other girls? They best start asking for some advances to record something. Hyoyeon knows. Hence her latest offering "Dessert".

This was Soyeon featuring Hyoyeon and Loopy. SM entertainment be giving Soyeon more of their time and more opportunities than they give some of the girls on SM.

"Dessert" is a fun song, but I won't ever listen to it again. Nothing about this is about trying to establish Hyoyeon as a solo artist. The song and video were more of a showcase for Soyeon and she ain't even signed to SM entertainment.

SM have no long-term plan for Hyoyeon. That much is clear. They just roll her out when they want to put out a bad g'yal song. She gets no good concepts. Every solo song that she's released has been so generic and forgettable, and they near enough all feature other artists.

I want to believe that Hyoyeon has more to her than what she's given, but I'm not sure that she does.
