Selena Gomez's variant Sofia Carson drops "He Loves Me, But...", a song which has no reason being this good | Random J Pop

What is it with these Disney chicks getting record labels and bagging hits these days!? Olivia Rodrigo got all these Disney girls hitting the studio. One of the latest being Sofia Carson known for her role in the Disney film series Descendants.

But before you roll your eyes like 'I ain't listening to some Disney bitch'. Remember who came up through Disney once upon a time. Britney. Christina. That dried ramen noodle head looking-ass bitch. JC Chasez. Rhona Bennett.

Disney be getting money from me annually for Disney+ and have my attention every Wednesday and Friday with these Marvel shows. So, I can't even drag everything that comes outta Bob Iger's booty by default.

HENNYWAY.

Back to the song. Trust me. This shit is really good. Far better than it has any reason being.

"He Loves Me, But..." is a really good song. My initial reaction upon hearing it and seeing the music video (a great looking music video by the way) was that Sofia is a better sounding and moving variant of Selena Gomez. And it just so happens that "He Loves Me, But..." is written by Justin Tranter, who is mostly known for his work on many of Selena's songs. The TVA gon' snatch her ass.

But as good as this song is, I couldn't help but think of how much better it woulda been with somebody else. More of a vocal stamp on the song and actually hitting the choreo in the music video would've had this shit soar and fully give what it shoulda gave. But as it is, it's still a solid song and video.
