Crystal Kay has something new ‘Coming soon’ for 2022

It has finally happened. Crystal Kay has updated her damn avi from that damn promo shot from damn 2020.

The Twitter avi has changed. The Instagram avi has changed. Her official pages on streaming services haven’t been updated at time of writing, but Crystal’s team don’t give a fuck about any of those. The lack of categorisation and singles, it’s-

Lemme not get into that.

Let’s instead focus on this new photo, which signals something new is coming.

Crystal tweeted out the photo at the top of this post with the caption ‘Coming soon...’, which we can assume means new music, given that she has also posted a clip to Instagram of what sounds like an upcoming song.


Now. Crystal Kay’s music has been dipping into the pan like a toilet brush over the past 10 years. Her last album release, the cover album I Sing, wasn’t terrible. But it wasn’t as special as it could have been. The album was then overshadowed by Crystal’s stint on the first season of The Masked Singer Japan, where she had covered songs that I Sing would have been better off with. And we didn’t even get a damn re-release of the album with those covers. But I’m not going through all that shit again.

So, whilst I am glad that something new from Crystal is coming, my expectations are really low, because she and her team just keep making questionable decisions in regards to EVERYTHING. YouTube channel been up for 4 months and not a single music video on the bitch. Songs been on streaming for 3 years, and “Kirakuni” amongst others are STILL unavailable globally.

Gurl, fire the whole management and marketing team.

But Crystal is making appearances at stuff and doing little shows here and there, which is something. I guess. But her team really needs to use Crystal’s ‘return’ as a chance to get all of their ducks in a row. They need to treat it as a new beginning for Crystal, whilst also honouring the legacy that she’s built; letting hoes know that she’s been in this game for over 20 years. It’s honestly crazy that her team has done nothing to celebrate any of her older single releases, album releases or career milestones. Nothing.
