Caroline Polachek has released a visual for her song "Ocean of tears" and she's serving us shivered timbers. Because, of course.
Oceans innit.
This is a great example of how you can do a great looking video with simple setups, as long as you have a clear vision and solid art / creative direction. It was a gorgeously shot video which matched the tone of the song perfectly. The whole thing was mesmerising.
Interestingly the video has a 4:3 ratio as opposed to the now HD standard 16:9. Which oddly makes sense, because the video has a very early 90s vibe about it, as though it was intended to be watched on a CRT television.
I'm really hoping Caroline gives us a visual for "Parachute". I can imagine it being more of the same, except with her...in the air...with a parachute. But I'm okay with that, given how "Ocean of tears" turned out.
