Music Video: Kumi Koda releases her not-about-weed-or-sex song "Puff"

Kumi Koda releases her not-about-weed-or-sex song "Puff" | Random J Pop

Kumi Koda released a new song yesterday (June 26th) and it's...not that good. But the video is.

This is actually a really decent video which does a lot for the song. Strangely, the music video hasn't been released to Kumi's Instagram account on Insta TV, where the format would be perfect. And surprisingly there's no Spotify version of the music video either. Both seem like missed opportunities, but there's still time for Kumi's team to do something about that.

The music video does a great deal of the heavy lifting for the song, because the song itself isn't great. It's barely even good. I'm so tired of these cutesy songs Kumi does, because they all sound the damn same. And as is the case with any style of song that Kumi does these days, you can always find a better version of it if you check out any of her albums pre Japonesque. "Puff" pales in comparison to a song like "Lick Me " which did this style far better, and the message was also far more relevant for today, so go listen to that instead. And remember, Everyting okay, don't be afraid.
