After that gig she did in L.A. back in May which blew up online and had everybody asking ‘Where is the tour?’. A bitch is going on tour.
The Jaguar tour will kick off in Detroit in September and end in November in London; London randomly being the only non North American stop. What is it about London that had Beyonce do 5 dates of her Renaissance World Tour here, Perfume do a one-off gig here and now Victoria do a date. There’s clearly profitability in performing here. There must be, for Victoria to stick a London date on a North American tour.
The full dates and venues have been released, and some fans may be a little pissed that Victoria isn’t passing through their city, but lets give Victoria some grace. This is her first tour. So she’s going to have to be conservative with how many dates she does and the locations she visits. Touring is a huge gamble for artists who are still relatively new in the game. And the locations are usually based on what makes sense logistically. Artists can’t just go any and everywhere.
And we should support artists on these smaller tours whilst we can. Because if they blow up and hit a certain tipping point; the dates get more plentiful and the tours get bigger, but the ticket prices and demand does too. And then you’re gonna be reminiscing about the good ol’ days when Victoria was touring in a Scooby-Doo truck with two band members, an Amazon Basics torch and a prayer, and charging 20 quid a ticket to play in some shithole venue.

Pre-sale went live today (July 12th) and the general sale will go live on July 14th. I will be up super early with my mouse finger ready to buy me a ticket. Although I really hope Koko has seating. I’ve not been to Koko in over a decade, and it’s been renovated since I last went to an event there. It was a great venue when I was last there, but I do not recall there being seating on the upper levels. So if this is the case, I won’t be going. My old ass needs me a seat.
