Mariah Carey's E=MC² tops the iTunes chart 12 years after its release

Mariah Carey's E=MC² tops the iTunes chart 12 years after its release | Random J Pop

In today's news of 'What the fuck and how', Mariah's 11th studio album has entered the iTunes album chart at number 1. Just as was the case with Glitter, board members of the Lambs committee hopped on a Zoom and we that they're gonna make-it-happen.mp3.

E=MC² was hardly a flop though. It had no issues with exposure following her highly successful, and commercial and critically acclaimed comeback album The Emancipation of Mimi. E=MC² charted at number 1 on the Billboard albums chart and gave Mariah her 18th Billboard number 1 single, "Touch My Body".

There's a likelihood that maybe the Lambs committee wanted it to chart for it's anniversary, given that the album released in April.

Either way, it's a nice bit of news for Mariah fans and also the un-elusive chanteuse herself. If it hadn't already dawned on her following the charting of Glitter and "All I Want For Christmas Is You" going to number  on the Billboard hot 100 25 years after it's initial release, her back catalog is never too old or 'irrelevant' to chart and get its flowers.

Mariah's shit don't flop. Sometimes it turns up to the charts on time. Sometimes it's fashionably late.

Unlike Glitter, E=MC² is available on all streaming platforms.
