Music video: Faky play it safe, but sweet with "Half-Moon"

Music video: Faky play it safe, but sweet with "Half-Moon" | Random J Pop

Faky still be going. They sure showed my ass.

For the past couple of years Avex have actually been giving these girls some attention and they've been pretty active and it's about damn time.

I still don't think these girls are putting out the best material, but their latest song "Half-Moon" is one of their best singles to drop since "Someday We'll Know".

This song is safe as hell, but it's nice. More in the way of vocals would have made this pop so much better though. The vocals were distributed pretty evenly between the girls, even though Lil' Fang and Akina should've been put front and centre.

The thing with Faky is that there's often something that's off or something that doesn't quite click with what they put out. Sometimes it's the song. Sometimes it's the energy in the music video. Here, it's the styling in the music video. The looks didn't match with the locale and the vibe that the director was going for what-so-ever. And Lil' Fang was giving an energy for an entirely different video altogether.

7 years and Avex still haven't gotten it 100% right with these girls. And still no full length studio album.
