As seems to be common for SM Entertainment, they had a group put out a lead song which was pretty bog standard, then followed it up with something better.

I didn't like SuperM's "100", but did like the concept of bringing back that late 90s UK boy band sound. "Tiger Inside" by comparison is far more contemporary.

I like the beat on "Tiger Inside", but the hook is lacking. It needed an additional layer of something to help life it from the rest of the song. For a K-Pop song it's very flat sounding hook. And given that the producers and writers of "Tiger Inside" (Moonshine) were also responsible for Irene & Seulgi's "Naughty" and Red Velvet's "Peek-a-boo", it's not like they don't know how it goes.

The music video for "100" was also better. That shit had way too many setups, but it was a money flex, and at least each one was consistent with the whole automotive theme. The video for "Tiger Inside" should have been focused on the final setup with the dojang / temple and the traditional outfits. That snow set was just weird, because the set didn't look stylised, it just looked unfinished. The damn thing looked like a salvage of the set from Girls' Generation's "The Boys". Also, what is it with SM and snow? Girls' Generations' "The Boys", BoA's "The Shadow", Red Velvet's "Bad Boy", now SuperM's "Tiger Inside".

The director of "Tiger Inside" had clearly watched Chloe x Halle's "Do It" and was a fan, because...

Coincidence? No bitch.

Chloe x Halle's impact.
