The big finale to Perfume's P.O.P FES was their performance, which was coined Imaginary Museum "Time Warp", which makes more sense when you watch the whole thing. It was basically a cross between their P Cubed gig and their second Reframe show; a short chronicling of their songs from Perfume: Complete Best to now. Cosmic Explorer and Future Pop got wiped out of existence though. Not one song from either of those albums got performed. Bitch. Not even "Flash". Even Perfume know those albums are trash.
Y'all have already seen the "Time Warp" performance, now it's time to watch that of "Glitter". I'm biased in singling out this performance, because "Glitter" is my jam and one of my favourite Perfume songs. But it was also the one song that Perfume haven't performed for a minute, so it was cool to see it with new visuals that we hadn't seen before. And incorporating tweets from fans was a really nice touch.
Perfume's visual team did not have to shame the "Glitter" music video like this.
Their Imaginary Museum performance was really amazing. And it's wild to think that team Perfume conceived it all and managed to get it put together in the time that they had. The logistics, the visuals, the outfits, the tech rehearsals, the sound.
It really is a shame that Perfume put this performance up behind a pay wall. Making this available for free and streaming it on a service like YouTube would've got them so many views and been a cool gift to their fans around the world - especially at a time like this. I've seen many messages online from fans who wanted to watch the whole thing, but opted not to because money is tight for them. I know Perfume and their team have gotta get paid too, but they're more than likely in a good enough financial situation to be able to give fans a free concert. And it woulda had them hit news sites too, because the whole premise of P.O.P FES and the sheer spectacle of what they put on was amazing. I've been so tired of Perfume's music and them giving me the same ol', same ol'. So it was nice to be excited about them again, because the whole thing was amazing. There are very few artists in the game right now doing what Perfume and their team did to this calibre. But once again, Perfume's team went to all of this effort, just to have it not get the wider recognition it deserves, because Japan and low key greed. BTS are out here holding 2 days of virtual gigs FOR FREE.
Perfume's team definitely need to consider releasing the whole performance to YouTube. And not for a limited time only. FO'EVER.
