Perfume perform to a slightly different mix of "Time Warp" on CDTV Live! Live!

Perfume finally remembered that they actually put out a new single in September, and that maybe they should perform it. Because "Time Warp" has not been performed any where close to the amount of times that "Flash" and "Mugen Mirai" have. And yes, the pandemic. But even so, Perfume have still been performing and choosing to perform everything but "Time Warp". I bet they fucking hate it.

I don't think fans are that pissed. "Time Warp" is a cute song, but it doesn't have the replay value of some of Perfume's other singles, because it succumbs to the same thing most of Perfume's songs do these days: a boring song structure and being too damn short. But this performance was interesting though, because the mix of "Time Warp" was a little different. I know, this isn't a song a lot of us have been playing often. But even so, you should be able to hear some of the changes from the start.

The changes aren't obvious, but they are there. Reverse cymbals in places. A heavier bassline. Additional synths during the verses. It's going to be interesting to see if when the eventual album comes, if this ends up being tagged as 'an album mix', it if receives more of an overhaul as an album mix, or if like "Polyrhythm" (the version with a whole ass key change) and "Magic of Love" (the version with a whole different intro) it's an instance of a one off mix for a performance that won't ever be committed to a release.

I would say that thankfully Perfume ditched the cheap looking "Time Warp" suits, only they replaced them with outfits which are far worse.
